Founded in February 2005, A New Beginning Foster Family Agency (ANBFFA) was established to serve court-adjudicated dependent children in the High Desert region of California.

Dr. Mohammed is a driving force behind ANBFFA since its founding in 2005, our director brings over two decades of leadership in foster care services, community advocacy, and nonprofit management to guide our mission every day.

Our multidisciplinary team brings together licensed professionals, trained specialists, and passionate volunteers — each with a defined role in supporting foster youth and families across Southern California.

Agency Social Worker

The backbone of case management — coordinating care plans, court appearances, and family services.

Develops and monitors individualized family service plans

Coordinates with courts, schools, and medical providers

Conducts home visits and assessments for placements

Facilitates family reunification and permanency planning
